(Did you mean a different Speculation?)
A fanzine edited by Peter Weston which began in October 1963 under the name Zenith. In some early issues it included a "Fanorama" column that Walt Willis had previously done for the British prozine Nebula and then for Robert Lichtman's fanzine Psi-Phi. With its tenth issue, Zenith became Zenith-Speculation and finally Speculation in October 1966. A special issue of Speculation was included in the Thirdmancon Combozine in April 1968.
In his memoir, With Stars in My Eyes, Weston states that originally his fanzine was to have been called Nadir, until he realized what it meant and went in the opposite direction, not knowing about Harry Turner's earlier 'zine. Turner sent Weston a note forgiving Weston for the appropriation of the title. Turner eventually produced artwork for the eighth issue of Weston's Zenith. Weston did eventually produce a fanzine named Nadir, intended as a smaller, less serious companion to Zenith, but passed it to Charlie Winstone after one issue.
Speculation lasted until 1976, though that was a delayed issue from 1973 which had sat in Weston's attic until it was rescued and distributed with an issue of Rob Jackson's fanzine Maya) It received Hugo nominations for Best Fanzine in 1965, 1966, 1970, and 1971 and was the 1973 Nova Award winner for Best Fanzine. It placed third in the Checkpoint Fan Poll for 1971/72.
