Does anybody know, was his name in fact Clarence Lee Jacobs? F3 co-credits Lee Jacobs with The Big O but the copy at fanac is clearly credited to Clarence L Jacobs although Lee Jacobs writes for it. Lee Jacobs was at Festivention in London in 1951 where Clarence Jacobs paid cash for a subscription to Phantasmagoria during the convention. The Fantasy Amateur 60 has Lee Jacobs contributing but Clarence L. Jacobs is a member. Checking rather than editing in case I'm missing something here.--Mark Plummer (talk) 05:20, 21 January 2025 (PST)
- A brief FamilySearch shows Clarence Lee Jacobs born 22 Oct 1927 https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:VL1S-CLV and there is also a death record for Clarence L Jacobs of the same birthdate and mother https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:VPZL-GXL . Also, there are at least two mentions of Clarence Lee Jacobs at Fanac. So I am pretty sure this is indeed him. --JVjr (talk) 14:11, 21 January 2025 (PST)
- Thanks. It seemed likely but I thought it worth getting a second opinion as it hadn't been previously noted. Edit now made. --Mark Plummer (talk) 03:20, 22 January 2025 (PST)
