A fan fund, also known as Operation Andy Capp to bring Colin Freeman, a hospitalized fan living near Harrogate UK, to Loncon 2. (Freeman was handicapped with a serious bone disease and had a sharp sense of humor, hence "operation 'andycap".)
The UK administrator was Ron Bennett and the US administrator was Dave Hulan. As of mid-April 1965 it had raised $175 in the US. Ultimately it raised sufficient funds, but Freeman was too ill to travel and the funds were returned to the donors.
