Joan Aiken

(September 4, 1924 – January 4, 2004)

Joan Delano Aiken was a UK writer specialising in supernatural fiction and children's alternative history novels.

ISFDB lists here first short fiction as appearing in a collection, 'All You've Ever Wanted' (1953), and her first novel as The Kingdom and the Cave (1960). However, she contributed a number of stories to The Beyond, the single-copy fanzine produced by E. Frank Parker and her brother John Aiken between 1942 and 1946.
