The Irlam SF Association (Irlam SFA) was a group formed by Brian Jordan and Alan Rispin around 1960. Then gives Rispin's name and Jordan said he was a member in his entry in Who's Who in Science Fiction Fandom. It's unclear whether there were ever any other members.

Irlam is a suburb of Salford near Manchester and was home to Rispin, while Jordan lived in Burnley about 30 miles away. In Hungry #4 (September 1961), Rispin mentioned that Jim Linwood had donated a flatbed duplicator to them and also gives the name of the group as the Irlam Science Fantasy Society. He also said that he was moving to London and presumably the that was the end of the Irlam SFA/SFS.

This is a club page. Please extend it by adding information about when and where the club met, when and by whom it was founded, how long it was active, notable accomplishments, well-known members, clubzines, any conventions it ran, external links to the club's website, other club pages, etc.

When there's a floreat (Fl.), this indicates the time or times for which we have found evidence that the club existed. This is probably not going to represent the club's full lifetime, so please update it if you can!
