(Did you mean the Richard Schultz late-60s fanzine?)
En Garde! (the exclamation mark was sometimes omitted on the pictorial cover, or by others mentioning it) was a FAPAzine published by Abby Lu Ashley and Al Ashley during the 40s. Its covers were created individually using an air brush by Jack Wiedenbeck and Al Ashley, and assisted by Abby Lu Ashley, and Earl Perry. Contents included Al Ashley, writing about his concept of the Slan Shack (realised after the move in 1943) and even Slan Center, and Jack Wiedenbeck's fanzine artwork review column "The Fapictorial Review". En Garde! was included in Pacificon's fanthology, Pacificon Combozine.
