Electracon, in some listings (mis?)hyphenated Electra-Con, was a convention held in the Ramada Inn of Kearney, Nebraska (home of a University of Nebraska campus, some 130 miles west of Lincoln, NE) from 1981 to (likely) 1983.
Convention | Dates | GoHs / notes |
---|---|---|
Electracon I | April 24-26, 1981 | Ed Bryant, Dan Patterson, Suzanne Carnival |
Electracon II | June 18-20, 1982 | Wilson Tucker, Steve Gray, Mike Kennedy; Bryant returned as toastmaster |
Electracon III | June 3–5, 1983 (?) | scant evidence of existence available 40 years later: • Convention lists in Starlog 69 and 70, with Patrick M. Kennedy as chairman (he may have chaired the previous ones as well, or at least been on the concom) but no GoHs • "Electracon 3" mentioned in the history of Lincoln/Nebraska's Star Base Andromeda • listing for its program book, as edited by Robert M. Wallace, added by a Nebraskan |
