Allison Williams
(August 12, 1928 – June 2, 2023)
A Philadelphia fan, Allison Williams (later Phillips) was a member of PSFS and co-editor of its OO, Variant, in 1947. She attended the Worldcons Philcon in 1947 and Cinvention in 1949. She was registrar for Philcon II, the 1953 Worldcon.
She was a daughter of James Williams, president of PSFS. Like her father, Allison served as president of the club. She married Alexander M. “Lex” Phillips, a pro who became a PSFS president, too.
The family tradition of fannish involvement continued with Margaret Trebing, Allison and Alexander’s daughter, who also became a PSFS officer.
