An APA for a game that started as a diplomacy variant and evolved to contain elements of fantasy RPG. The origins of the diplomacy variant are lost in time. However, a game started in a diplomacy fanzine called
Slobinpolit Zhurnal (originally edited by Robert Bryan Lipton) published its first issue in June 1972. It's believed that this game ultimately transitioned into the game that ran in APA-Slobbovia of which Lipton was OE.
"Slobbovia" was a fictional backwards country in the "Lil Abner" comic strip -- like Elbonia in today's "Dilbert".
