Elizabeth M. (Betsy) Curtis was the mother of author/editor Margaret (Maggie) Curtis Thompson.
Betsy was discovered by Anthony Boucher who published her story, "Divine Right" in the Summer, 1950, issue of The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction.
Other short fiction by Curtis appeared in such SF magazines as Galaxy, Imagination, Marvel Science Stories, Planet Stories, If, and Amazing.
Her story, "A Peculiar People," was reprinted in The Best Science Fiction Stories: 1952, edited by Bleiler and Dikty.
Awards, Honors and GoHships:
Her story, "The Stieger Effect," published in the October, 1968, issue of Analog, was nominated for a Hugo.
