George A. Final was seemingly a fan active in the 1930s.

He is listed in Novae Terrae #21 among the 'distinguished s-f personalities who have promised to attend' the Second British Convention in London in 1938. If he did in fact attend he did nothing to alert the chroniclers to his presence. Moreover, there is no indication why he rated the designation 'distinguished' as he is not otherwise mentioned in the pages of Novae Terrae or seemingly anywhere. Was he perhaps some obscure 1930s joke – his name is the final one on the list – or a typo? Or was he a pillar of the Science Fiction Association, working tirelessly and uncredited behind the scenes?

He is not listed in the 1945 Directory of Anglo-Fandom.
