Scotcon was a proposed one-day convention to be held "probably" in Glasgow, Scotland. Donald Malcolm from Paisley advanced the idea in the BSFA's Vector 32 (April 1965). He suggested that the Caledonian SF Group's '6 founder members might be a suitable nucleus for a committee' but felt 'I need to have the support of at least 90% of the Scottish BSFA members' to proceed. He thought that 'with them as a nucleus […] we could muster 40–50 people', perhaps even from Newcastle (or other northern English locations) and Ireland. As for the program, he suggested 'Dr I. F. Clarke (a member)'. His belief in the level of interest was presumably unjustified as the convention never happened. Had it gone ahead it would have been Scotland's first convention. Instead that honour goes to Faircon in 1978.
