John D. Teehan, a Rhode Island fan, and author of short fiction since 2003, ran the small press Merry Blacksmith Press.

He married Margaret B. Teehan (née Froiseth) in 2007; they had one son, John Eric Reilly “Jack” Teehan (b. 2016). Teehan played the banjo.
