(March 30, 1961 – October 4, 2016)

Kathryn Lynn Yule (née Barbara), a Portland, OR, conrunning and fanzine fan, found fandom in 1984. She was a member of PorSFiS (and served as both President (1990) and Treasurer (1986)) and OSFCI. She worked on a variety of regionals.

She was a member of TAPS, Mixed Company and BWA.

Kate attended Kennewick High School and Lewis and Clark College, where she majored in foreign languages and spent a year abroad in Munich. She spoke German, French, and Spanish, and also studied Japanese, Italian, Dutch, Czech, Gaelic, Catalan, and American Sign Language. After working for the Red Cross as an administrative assistant, she spent some years as a clerical temp.

She married fellow fan David Levine in 1991. She enjoyed knitting and square dancing. Kate died after a long struggle with brain cancer.
