Alec Nevala-Lee is an American novelist, biographer, and SF writer.

He is a Hugo and Locus Award finalist for the group biography Astounding: John W. Campbell, Isaac Asimov, Robert A. Heinlein, L. Ron Hubbard, and the Golden Age of Science Fiction, a history of Astounding Science Fiction, which was named one of the best books of 2018 by The Economist.

SF writer Barry N. Malzberg called Astounding "the most important historical and critical work my field has ever seen."
