Lynn Hickman

(June 5th, 1926 – October 30, 1996)

Lynn Hickman, a Midwestern fan from Wauseon, Ohio, and member of First Fandom, and huckster, founded Little Monsters of America.

He was a member of the Midwest Nomads, the Alien Science-Fantasy Club, and was one of the founders of Pulpcon and the founder of the Pulp Era Amateur Press Society (PEAPS). He chaired Illwiscon. He used the pen name of Plato Jones.

He was publisher of Who Killed Science Fiction? and Why Is a Fan?.

A lean, lanky man, he was a chain smoker, he suffered from emphysema and ultimately succumbed to lung cancer.

He and his wife, Carolyn Hickman, were fixtures at Midwestcon.
