An organization of people interested in the works of Edgar Rice Burroughs.

It was a dream of Vernell Coriell, who had been publishing the Burroughs Bulletin since 1947 and its organizational meeting was held at Pittcon in 1960. Coriell continued to lead the BB through most of its existence.

The Burroughs Bulletin became the Official Organ of the Bibliophiles, and its members produced a score of Burroughs-related fan magazines.

From the early 1960s through the 1990s, they annually held a Dum-Dum (that is what a convocation of the Great Apes was called by Edgar Rice Burroughs in his Tarzan books) usually at Worldcon, but eventually it became an independent event.

Club 1960
This is a club page. Please extend it by adding information about when and where the club met, when and by whom it was founded, how long it was active, notable accomplishments, well-known members, clubzines, any conventions it ran, external links to the club's website, other club pages, etc.

When there's a floreat (Fl.), this indicates the time or times for which we have found evidence that the club existed. This is probably not going to represent the club's full lifetime, so please update it if you can!
