Bias Binding was a fanzine published by Nigel Lindsay in the UK for OMPA. In Scottishe #3 (June 1956), the unrelated Ethel Lindsay said:
A lovely job, and Helen gets more endearing all the time. As Medical Correspondent to B.B. don't I get to be a member of T.H.F.& L.M. Society?
... a comment that invites more questions than it answers, although the abbreviation refers to the Torquay Happy Fan and Lampshade Makers' Society, purportedly Torquay's only sf club.
