Bias Binding

Bias Binding was a fanzine published by Nigel Lindsay, purportedly on behalf of the Torbay Happy Fan and Lampshade Makers' Society, for OMPA. In Scottishe #3 (June 1955), the unrelated Ethel Lindsay said:
A lovely job, and Helen gets more endearing all the time. As Medical Correspondent to B.B. don't I get to be a member of T.H.F.& L.M. Society?
'Helen' was presumably 'Helen Highwater', the only other 'member' of the Torbay group and, one presumes, not a real person.
Bias Binding #2 further purported to be the official organ of the Torbay, Romiley, & London Scottish Dancing, Lampshade Makers, Happy Fan Veterans & Promiscuous Snogging Society, a 'national amalgamation' of fan groups announced in Now & Then #4. It was also combined with Nirvana and as a result sported a (four word) 'guest editorial' from Ken Bulmer.
