DeepSouthCon 48 was a convention held June 4-6, 2010 in conjunction with ConCarolinas 2010 in Charlotte, NC. Membership was about 1300 and the chairman was Ron McClung. Jerry Pournelle was the Writer GoH Richard Hatch was the Media GoH, Bill and Brenda Sutton were the Musical GoH, Ed Beard, Jr. was the Artist GoH, and Albin Johnson was the Fan GoH.

Albin Johnson won the Rebel Award and Jerry Pournelle won the Phoenix Award. The Rubble Award went to Uncle Timmy "because 'It's all Uncle Timmy's fault' and/or He'd been first runner-up too many times."
