Windycon 31 was a convention held from November 12-14, 2004 at the Wyndham O'Hare in Rosemont, IL. Guests of Honor: Robert J. Sawyer, Jael, Gil Pearson, Barry Childs-Helton, Sally Childs-Helton. Toastmaster: Christian Ready. Chair: Bonnie Jones. The con had the theme "Innerspace."
The ISFiC Writers Contest winner was "Orbital One," by Chris Krolczyk.
The parent organization, ISFiC, launched ISFiC Press with its first GoH book: Relativity, by Robert J. Sawyer.
The convention began using Arabic rather than Roman numerals in its name.
