DeepSouthCon 43 was held April 8-10, 2005 in conjunction with Xanadu 8 in Nashville, TN. Attendance was 168 and it was chaired by Dan Caldwell. Mike Resnick was GoH, Darryl Elliott was Artist GoH, and Timothy Bolgeo was Fan GoH. Connie Willis was MC.

Naomi Fisher won the Rebel Award and Jack L. Chalker posthumously won the Phoenix Award. The Rubble Award went to Judy Bemis "for resigning as SFC Treasurer."
