Martin Morse Wooster is a longtime actifan from Baltiwash, active since the 1970s. He is a frequent contributor to File 770. While in college, he was a member of the Beloit Science Fiction and Fantasy Association.

A critic who reviews science fiction for such publications as the Wall Street Journal, in his mundane life, Wooster is a journalist and Conservative policy wonk. He is senior fellow at the Capital Research Center and has been an editor at the Wilson Quarterly and American Enterprise. His books include Angry Classrooms, Vacant Minds; The Great Philanthropists and the Problem of ‘Donor Intent’ and Great Philanthropic Mistakes. He also writes professionally about beer.
