Dave Klaus, a longtime fan from St. Louis, was a traveling jiant in the ’70s.

A St. Louis native, he lived in Phoenix in the 1970s. In the early ’80s, he lived in L.A., belonged to LASFS, edited its clubzine, De Profundis, and became one of the few members ever booted out of the club, basically because they didn’t like him (see File 770 33, p. 3).

Klaus ultimately moved back to St. Louis. He was married to Nila Thompson. He suffered a stroke in 2022; cardiac arrest in June 2023 led to heart surgery from which he did not recover.
