Universe SF was part of the history of Raymond A. Palmer's Other Worlds Science Stories, being one of the alternate titles used to evade financial problems,
The editor of the first two issues was George Bell, an alias of Palmer's. In fact, all issues were edited by Palmer with the assistance of Bea Mahaffey.
After the March, 1955 issue, the magazine went back to the title of Other Worlds.
