Twas Ever Thus was a fanzine published by John Ingham, first in California and later in London. There were at least four issues between approximately 1970 and 1974.

Rob Hansen describes its first issue in Beyond Fandom:

Its mimeographed first issue was 36 pages long, the contents consisting of several articles reprinted from the Los Angeles Free Press and some material by Greg Shaw reprinted from his own fanzines, as well as Ingham’s editorial, fanzine reviews, a report on a Grateful Dead concert, and an article on the possibility of filming The Lord of the Rings. Distributed with TET was Never Eat a Fanzine #1, a four-page supplement consisting of remarks by Ingham on the Westercon and rock music.

The issue was reviewed by John D. Berry in Amazing Stories vol. 44 #5 (January 1971).

Ingham moved to London in 1972 and it's unclear whether the second issue appeared before or after the move.

He was in the UK by the time of the third issue which Ethel Lindsay described in Haverings #55 (April 1973):

... the main item is John telling about his travels in London and Rome. He also gives an enthralling description of the London Film School, which sounds a real weird place.

Its fourth and seemingly last issue was reviewed in Yandro #226 (April 1974) where Buck Coulson was unimpressed, describing it as:

Trip report, fiction, and what have you, none of it terribly good.

Linda Bushyager liked it rather better in Karass #3 (March 1974) while condemning a piece by Richard Meltzer as 'one of the most obnoxious articles I've seen in awhile'.
