The Cosmic Dustbug was a fanzine published by John Bangsund. In a list of his fanzines in Philosophical Gas #50, Bangsund said of this title, 'The only copy I have is no. 10, but I don't think I did 10 issues.' In its first issue he explained:

Another fanzine? No, it's all I can do to keep Australian Science Fiction Review going. Actually, editing, stencilling, and running off ASFR is only a small part of the work involved in producing that magazine: I seem to spend less time on these things than on addressing envelopes, attempting to maintain a filing system, keeping track of getting-and-spending, and... writing letters.

CDBug is a project which may eliminate 60% of my letter-writing – or perhaps I should say 60% of the letter-writing I should be doing. All those things I have to repeat in one letter after another will be found now in this – what shall I call it? – edzine.

The second issue, with the same date as the first, started:

Yes, this may be the first fan publication to appear twice daily – but I rather doubt it.
