A Toronto schoolmate of Robert J. Sawyer’s, Ted Bleaney co-founded the Northview Association for Science Fiction Addicts in 1975 and was one of the organizers of the NorthStar con in 1982. Sawyer dedicated his 1995 novel, The Terminal Experiment, to Bleaney.
