Starting in December 1971, Tankon, a small gathering -- a relaxacon -- of SF fans who were nearly all members of Slanapa, was held in Tangent, OR. It was held first at Mike Horvat's home (a hundred year old church filled with books, fanzines, radios and printing presses) in Tangent, then later in Frank Denton's cabin in Washington and Dale Goble's home in Stayton, Oregon. It continued annually until at least 2008. There have also been a few extra Tankons held in the summer.

Attendees included Horvat, Frank Denton, Dale Goble, and Bill Marsh.
