Robert Studley was an early New York fan who discovered fandom when he attended the First Worldcon in New York in 1939 and then joined the Queens SFL. He was one of the charter members of The National Fantasy Fan Federation (N3F) in 1941 and was a member of the Futurian Science-Literary Society of New York.
He published The Sciential with Tom Huguet, was a co-editor of Cosmic Tales, and in 1941, served as an editor of Bonfire, the official fanzine of the N3F.
