City in Nevada once famous as a divorce capital, where the 2011 Worldcon, Renovation, was held. It also hosted Mythcon XI at the University of Nevada, Reno, in 1980, and the 1983 SFRA Conference.

Claire P. Beck published his Science Fiction Critic from Reno for a time in the 1930s, but there’s no evidence of any homegrown fandom. If any of fandom’s many divorcées whiled away there during Reno’s marital-dissolution heyday, they didn’t pub their ish in the meantime.
