(June 23, 1928 – September 25, 1987)
Howard Lyons was a fan active in the Toronto Derelicts in the 1950s. He married fellow Derelict Pat Patterson and both had gafiated by the early 1960s. However, he returned to FAPA, at least briefly, in the early 1970s.
He became involved with the International Brotherhood of Magicians and published a magazine devoted to stage magic. Some of his work appeared in Toronto the Ghood.
He attended Midwestcon 5, where he bought a box of old fanzines from Tucker for a fifth of sour-mash whiskey. Lyons had been advertising that he would buy fmz for cash, but Bob wouldn’t “stoop to such hucksterism.”
