OryCon 1

OryCon 1 was a convention held November 9-11, 1979 at the Lloyd Center Sheraton in Portland, OR. GoHs were John Varley (Pro) and Richard Geis (listed as "Non-participating Fan GoH"). (Geis was famously reclusive and crotchety and didn't attend.)

It was chaired by Steve Berry and Roger Wells. The toastmaster was Steve Perry and attendance was 525.
