The geographic spread of fandom has broadened considerably since Fancyclopedia 1 was written, with appreciable groups across Europe, Australasia and Asia.
Its ethnic makeup in the United States has also become more diverse (though Jack Speer overlooked some fans of his time). However, it is still true that “there are a large number of Jews.”

All known scientifictionists, with the exceptions of Gallic Georges Gallet, Deutschlander Herbert Häusler, and Hungarian Andrew Lenard, come from American or British Empire homes. The European extraction of the Amerifans is predominantly English and German; there are a large number of Jews. No survey of fan extraction has been made since the shift of the center of fan population to the Mid-East. |
