(???? – )
John Theodore “Jack” Wiese of New York was member #2 of the Science Fiction League after it was announced in May 1934. For being among the first tensome to sign up, John got his name in the July ’34 issue of Wonder Stories.
Having sent appropriate letters first to the prozine and then to Dr. David H. Keller, John received an autographed letter and the original manuscript of “Euthanasia Limited” from the good doctor, as announced in the September 1934 issue. The October 1934 issue, however, announced that “two more of the winners” had claimed their prizes, and that Jack had received “The Bloodless War,” so either Jack got lucky and wound up with two manuscripts, or that there was some other mistake.
