Iain R. Byers (inevitably and occasionally misspelled Ian Byers) is a UK fan and artist likely from the Dundee area active in the 1980s and 1990s. In an article in Beam #13 (April 2018), Chuck Connor said that Byers was bought into fandom Hindmost and the Dundee Science Fiction and Fantasy Society.

His artwork appeared in various BSFA publications as well as Critical Wave, Crystal Ship and Wallbanger where his cover for #9 won him the Ken McIntyre Award. He also placed in the 'Best British Fan Artist' category of the Ansible Fan Poll for 1981/1982. He contributed a number of interior illustrations to Interzone from 1983 to 1997.
