I Remember Morojo

An article written by Forrest J Ackerman in 1965 of memories of Morojo. It was published, accompanied by two photographs, in FAPA (February 1965, Mailing 110) together with Elmer Perdue's (then semi-pseudonymous as 520 07 0328) "Myrtle Rebecca Douglas: An Appreciation".

Note that the Contents listing in the appropriate The Fantasy Amateur (Vol. 28 No 2) does not mention this but only the Appreciation as 14-page, even though both titles are given on the joint cover (with the date 11 February 1965 and the well-known 1940 photo by T. Bruce Yerke glued on the inner side). FJA's text takes up the last 3 pages (with empty verso); he mentions "The next Perdue-produced Fan Memorial you read will be about the late FJA" and at the end again "Elmer Perdue, who phoned me & asked if I wd care to contribute some remarks". Clearly Perdue then duplicated both together (the paper and typewriter are the same even though paragraph formatting differs).

Perhaps no one would be more surprised than Myrtle that I am contributing a memorial about her because I had scarcely spoken to her for 20 years. […]
However.
I will say this.
I remember Morojo as the greatest female fanne who ever lived.

(Immediately going on to qualify this with other names.)
