Helen Cloukey (born Ola Helen Halsted), a Philadelphia fan, was a member of PSFS and an editor of its OO, Variant, in 1947. She attended the 1938 Philadelphia Conference and Philcon in 1947, and authored a number of stories for Fantascience Digest in the late 1930s.
In the Philcon Memory Book, Alexander Phillips described her as an “austere and forceful” lady.
Cloukey was born in Missouri and married Homer Cloukey there. They had several children before moving to the Landsdowne, Pennsylvania, area in the late 1920s. Cloukey moved to Virginia after the death of her husband in 1952, where she died in 1966.
