Green Room

Green room is a mundane term adopted by fandom to describe a convention room provided to program participants, supposedly to gather and prep prior to panels. The room is often equipped with at least the rudiments of hospitality, such as a coffee urn. At some conventions, particularly in the Midwest, the catering is so elaborate it becomes an exclusive second con suite where program participants hang out and enjoy anything from light snacks to full meals.
