Fitz-Gerald P. Grattan
(???? – ????)
Fitz-Gerald P. Grattan was a fan from the Republic of Ireland[1] active in the 1930s. He appeared several times in the lettercolumns of Amazing Stories and Astounding Stories with the latter giving addresses in Cork (1931) and County Wicklow (1934).
Material in the Forrest J Ackerman Papers at Syracuse University suggest he may have been known as 'Paddy' – the P may stand for 'Patrick' or 'Pádraig' – and at one point he's referred to as Paddy FitzGerald O'Grattan. This documentation also suggests he was a member of the British Interplanetary Society in 1930–5.
So he was seemingly in touch with Ackerman and perhaps others in fandom. He appeared on the list of 'Scientifictionists' published in the souvenir book for the Nycon in 1939 although presumably he did not attend the convention.
