Eli Cohen is an SF fan who was particularly active in the 1960s-1970s when he lived in The Avocado Pit. He was an officer in the Fantasy and Science Fiction Society of Columbia University and worked on Lunacon. He was a member of the 7 in '77 Worldcon bid and one of the lyricists for The Mimeo Man.
While he has lived in New York City for most of his life, he spent the years 1974–77 in and out of jail in Regina, SK (as the Research Officer for the Saskatchewan Corrections Department...). He lived in Vancouver from 1977-80.
