David Emerson

David Emerson, a longtime Minneapolis-area con-running fan, is a member of Minnstf. He chaired ReinCONation 5 and ReinCONation 6, as well as Not-A-ReinCONation, and worked on Minicon and ReinCONation. He is a member of the Mythopoeic Society's Rivendell Group and been the society's webmaster and has served on the Council of Stewards. He is a member of the Tolkien Society and its Smial of Avallónë in Iowa City.
He was editor of Rune in 1978–79 and a member of MinneAPA. He was involved in several performances of The Mimeo Man and was one of the directors of Midwest Side Story at Minicon 12. In the early 1970s, he lived in The Avocado Pit in New York and was a member of the Fanoclasts, the Brooklyn Insurgents and the Omnivores.
A native of Florida, he currently lives in Cedar Falls, IA. David holds a B.A. in physics from Stetson University and has worked as a professional baker and a computer programmer.
