A fan who became active in filking in 1975 and has been a Midwest filker since he moved to Michigan in 1978. He is a composer and singer.
In college, he belonged to the Syracuse University Science Fiction Club and contributed to its clubzine. He published Nucleus and co-edited the first three issues of Kantele. He was married to Carol Flynt from 1993 until her death in 2021. They wrote fiction as C. Flynt.
In mundania, he is a a computer programmer and an expert on the Tcl/Tk programming language.
