(???? – )
Barbara Abas was a Dutch fan active in the early 1950s. She attended Festivention in London in 1951 with her husband, Ben Abas, and his brother.
Michael Corper who spoke Dutch talked with Ben Abas at the convention as he reported in Fantasy Times #131. He described both Barbara and Ben as fans and said that Ben Abas told him that he and his wife
spent four long years, separated from each other, in Japanese POW camps in the Dutch East Indies. Abas told me how strange it was to hear a woman's voice again after all that time.
The Lambiek Compiclopedia website [1] says Ben Abas moved to Australia in 1955 and died there.
