Attitude: The Convention was a convention organized by the editors of the fanzine Attitude and held on February 14-17, 1996 at the Abbey Hotel in Great Malvern, UK.
There were 14 one-shots produced at the convention including fanzines by Pat McMurray, Mike Scott, Felix Cohen, Bridget Hardcastle, Rhodri James, Bridget Wilkinson and Marianne Cain.
The convention handed out awards, The Trilbys, which took the form of brightly coloured party hats:
- Best spoof awards: The Hugos
- The race most likely to rule the Sevagram: the Westons
- Special fakefan award: Tony 'What's a Sevagram?' Berry
- Best fan artist who is not D. West: Sue Mason
- Best fan writer who is not Dave Langford: Mark Plummer
- Best year for the Next British Worldcon: removing all the votes for 'never' and 'infinity', they averaged the remaining votes to produce 2268. The award was given to Noel Collyer as his vote was closest, and he's now the chairman.
- Best one-shot produced at the convention: Marianne Cain
Writing on rasff on 18 February 1997, Alison Scott said, 'Overall it was a triffic fun convention, with little for which it could be criticised. Almost nothing, in fact.'
