Athole Carter was seemingly a UK fan from Leeds active in the 1940s. In his original report of Norcon II for British Fantasy Society Bulletin #20, J. Michael Rosenblum listed 14 attendees. However, the version published in Fanewscard #107 adds Carter as a fifteenth name. The presentation of the names may imply that he was the partner of Brenda Gabrielle Lee, an almost equally mysterious Leeds fan who is numbered on the list-of-fourteen. Notably given he was seemingly from Leeds, the home city of Rosenblum, he is not mentioned in Futurian War Digest.
