Aron Insinga

A Boston fan who published the ideas that came out of Smofcon 3. He moved from Delaware to Massachusetts to work for DEC.

He was a member of Markland (a Maryland-based group of Dark Ages enthusiasts (who think the SCA are wimps) and served as Assistant Ealdorman for a year. He was also a member of NESFA.

He was a co-collator of APA:NESFA, and the co-collator of APA:1066, with Merle Insinga.

He edited a few NESFA Press books, over the transition from photo-typesetter to Pagemaker on MacOS, and helped proofreed a few others. He helped crew the Markland Viking ship at ConStellation.

He is a Fellow of NESFA.

When The Digital Computer Museum (dba The Computer Museum) was founded in Marlborough, MA (now The Computer History Museum in Mountain View, CA), he was one of the original volunteer docents and contributed a Minuteman Missile Guidance Computer to their collection. He also contributed to the collection of The Museum of Printing in Havehill, MA a Ditto-brand Spirit Duplication machine that had been exhibited at Ditto 6 and had earlier been used to print fannish material. (He did not bestow upon the museum a pan of antifreeze-flavored gelatin that had been used to demonstrate Hekto at another Boston convention.)
