Orville R. Kerkow, a fan from Neche, North Dakota, was head of the Minn-Dak FS and a member of the SFL. He was a friend of Earl Kay and Walt Dunkelberger.
An Army pfc during World War II, he died, age 22, in November 1944, MIA in Germany, leaving a wife and two brothers. Before the war, he had been projectionist/manager of the Neche cinema. His death was reported in FANEWS[CARD] 132 (March 23, 1945).
