Charles Carroll Ryan is an editor and publisher.
A newspaperman by profession, Ryan is known in the SF world for the two prozines he has edited, Galileo (1975-1980) and Aboriginal Science Fiction (1986-2001), both of which at their peak reached relatively high circulations.
In 1991, with John Betancourt, he founded the small press publisher, First Books, designed to publish limited-edition hardcovers of first books by writers discovered by Aboriginal Science Fiction.
