The World Fantasy Convention '82 was held at the Park Plaza Hotel in New Haven, CT in 1982. The GoHs were Peter Straub and Joseph Payne Brennan, and Don Maitz was Guest Artist.
The convention's theme was "Mark Twain", the toastmaster was Charles L. Grant and it was chaired by Norman L. Hood and Harold Kinney.
The convention was generally well-received in spite of the hotel being very hot -- the weather was warm and the hotel's A/C had been turned off -- and the program being overwhelmingly slanted towards horror and dark fantasy.
See File 770 37, p. 3 for a con report by Fred Lerner.
